オヤジが挙動不審に走る、それは都市のダークサイドを浮かび上がらせるためだ。コンクリーツは、都市を知りすぎているというのに、ものを知らない若者のように歌い出した。遠くニューウェイブから発した悪巧みの21世紀盤。そんな歌が凡百の若者の歌より面白いに決まっている。

ストリート・エンターテイメントの王者が還ってきた。まだ、みんながトンがっていた80年代初頭のパンク・ニューウェーブまっ盛りの只中に、場違いなまでにチープなドドンパ・サウンドをひっさげて登場したコンクリーツ。なんだかんだ言われながらも、その粋な遊び心はライブ・シーンに華やかな彩りをそえ、隠れファンも多かった。（かく言う私もそうだったが。）
あれから20年、みんな本物のオヤジになったが、力の抜けたロック・センスは、衰えるどころか、より一層の磨きがかかっている。これが本当のオシャレってもんだ。
